Poets and Dreamers Publishing

Poets and Dreamers International Press accepts full-length fiction, nonfiction, poetry and chapbook-length poetry and short story manuscripts for publication.  

GUIDELINES

The Poets and Dreamers International Press editing team considers full-length and chapbook poetry manuscripts.

Full length works of fiction, short story collections, poetry collections, and chapbooks will be considered.

Simultaneous and multiple submissions are permitted but please inform us immediately upon the acceptance of your manuscript by another publisher.

We accept submissions year round. 

At Poets and Dreamers International Press, we are committed to publishing works that challenge, inspire, and elevate the conversation in literature and the arts. We seek to amplify diverse voices in the following genres:

Submission Guidelines

We welcome unsolicited manuscripts from both emerging and established authors. We are open to submissions year-round and accept simultaneous submissions.
  • Reading Period: January 1 – December 31
  • Response Time: 3 to 6 months
  • Reading Fee: No reading fee for general submissions.

Tips From the Editor

We invite submissions from both emerging and established authors whose work aligns with our mission to promote cultural awareness and leadership through artistic expression.
  • Manuscripts should offer fresh perspectives and contribute to meaningful conversations across disciplines.
  • Before submitting, please review our submission guidelines carefully.
  • We accept simultaneous submissions but request prompt notification if your work is accepted elsewhere.
  • Our reading period is open year-round, and we aim to respond within 4-6 weeks.
  • We value authenticity, innovation, and literary excellence.

PROCESS

Please read our submission checklist below before submitting.
Only electronic submissions will be considered.
We will acknowledge receipt of your submission within 4-6 weeks.

SUBMISSION CHECKLIST

Email with author’s full name in subject line, followed by manuscript title.

Cover letter with author’s contact information.

Attached bio note of under 250 words, and prior publication credits for poems/stories from the manuscript, if possible.

Attached manuscript file in a PDF, Word .doc or .docx, or .txt format.

Confirmation of reading/entry fee transaction.

AFTER A MANUSCRIPT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION

A letter of acceptance along with an author contract and information will be sent via email.

After the signed contract is returned, the author will have the opportunity to review the manuscript before final submission to layout. The author will be informed when production will begin on the book.

The author should have at least one book blurb written by a well published writer, editor, or critic for the back cover.

The layout department will contact the author with a galley for corrections, and an electronic proof will be sent to the author for final approval before printing.

Poets and Dreamers International Press will announce the book launch and promote it when first released. The author is responsible for further promotion, marketing, and sales. Upon request, Poets and Dreamers will send authors their annual sales record as provided by the distributor.

Authors receive 2 gift books and 25% discount on additional copies. After a book sells 500 copies (including discounted author orders) its author receives 10% royalty of list price for subsequent copies.

Poets and Dreamers International Press is a print on demand press that uses Lightning Source Ingram for printing. Lightning Source supports a CMYK color model and offers matte and glossy finish for covers, cream and white for interiors. Ingram distributes to various vendors worldwide, including Barnes & Noble and Amazon.  

Poets and Dreamers International Press is not responsible for pricing fluctuations, rankings, and availability issues from individual vendors. However, authors and customers may purchase books and journals directly from Poets and Dreamers.

So we travel on earth seeking the terrain of Poetry, walking through wilderness and empty landscape or visiting those ancient sites like Dholavira in far-western Gujarat, or Mykenai in the Greek Peloponnese, or the Arawak campsite on eastern Carriacou in the Grenadine Windward Isles, pursuing that authenticity of experience in a form of antique material reality...

These are places, strange and vague situations where death is manifold and thoroughly extant to the careful eye. There are women’s bangles made of shell to be picked up from the saline dust or small copper beads and thin chert blades, or tiny obsidian arrow-heads that can be unhidden and disclosed beneath those bloody grey walls about the Lion Gate, or beautiful indented potsherds and ceramic fragments at the waterline where the Atlantic rolls out its long blue visceral waves...
