“Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself... Go forward and make your dreams come true.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Our upcoming issue, the Dreamers and Displaced, will highlight the Dreamers, the perceptions created by borders, and the words of the Displaced. Through these works, artists and writers address the issue of divided lands with a poetic sense of unity, of rising above the misconceptions created to divide cultures and humanity. Unity, wisdom and love are possible—and it is through art that we can make this happen.
We are in the process of gathering works to represent as many cultures as possible, with the theme of traveling to faraway lands, of seeking a place of belonging, and being displaced...
To be considered, please send works of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 24.
Poets and Dreamers was created in 2001, after executive editor-in-chief Anne Tammel returned from a transformative journey through the Mediterranean. What began as a series of literary salons, writing workshops, and spoken word performances expanded into a worldwide circle of literary & fine artists who believe that words, art, and music act as a transcendent bridge, and allow us to create the lives we have imagined.
Poets and Dreamers Press and the Poets and Dreamers Journal of Literary & Fine Arts exist as opportunities for authors and artists to actualize themselves and their works through the collaboration and circulation of literary and fine arts.
