AFTER A MANUSCRIPT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION
A letter of acceptance along with an author contract and information will be mailed out.
After the signed contract is returned, the author will have a chance to look over the manuscript before final submission to layout. The author will be informed when production will begin on the book when prior projects in queue are cleared.
The author should have at least one book blurb written by a well published writer, editor, or critic for the back cover.
The layout department will contact the author with a galley for corrections, and an electronic proof will be sent to the author for final approval before printing.
Poets and Dreamers will announce the book launch and promote it when first released, but the author is responsible for any further promotion, marketing, and sales.
Upon request, Poets and Dreamers will send authors their annual sales record as provided by the distributor.
Authors get 5 free books and 25% discount on additional copies. After a book sells 500 copies (including discounted author orders) its author receives 10% royalty of list price for subsequent copies.
NOTE:
Poets and Dreamers is a print on demand press that uses Lightning Source Ingram for printing. Lightning Source supports a CMYK color model and offers matte and glossy finish for covers, cream and white for interiors.
